Another Day, Another Stay

Category:newsletter

A real quick update on this week:

David started running a fever again early this week, so his oncologist took him off his oral cancer meds because he believes it’s a reaction to those. They have others that they can put him on, so  that’s good 🙂

David started brain radiation on Monday and it has worn him out pretty quickly. Combine that with the fevers and it’s been a rough start to the week.

During the night last night, David’s fever started to spike pretty high. He also started vomiting and having diarrhea. He wasn’t able to take any of his meds and this morning his fever elevated really high, so we called his doctor and was told to go to the hospital to get checked out. After scans and bloodwork, and A LOT of waiting, the doctors decided to admit him due to some possible pneumonia they see forming in his chest. They want to do some cultures and some more scans to see exactly what they are dealing with and to get on top of treating him. it’s possible this may just be an over night stay, which would be GREAT!

Prayer requests:

-For complete healing of David’s body-For the doctors to get a clear picture of what’s going on in his body, so they know exactly how to treat him so he can get discharged quickly!

-For family, who are taking care of the kids in our absence, that they have patience, joy and energy to keep up with them

-For God to continue to give us strength and help us to lean fully on Him.

-For God to continue to support our kids and help them through all the difficulties they are facing
Thank you, again for all your continued prayers!! We appreciate them SO much!
